Programs of Study
Bachelor of science degrees are offered with a major in chemistry or a major in biochemistry. The department additionally offers a combination program Chemistry with Computing, a concentration in neuroscience, and a minor in chemistry. Details on the undergraduate programs can be found through the College of Science and in the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information. The suggested sequence of science courses for majors is outlined below and given in more detail in the Suggested Schedule for Chemistry Majors and the Suggested Schedule for Biochemistry Majors documents.

Complementary Programs
In addition to majors in chemistry and biochemistry, the department offers a combination major of chemistry with computing, a concentration in neuroscience, and a minor in chemistry. Specific details are available in the Undergraduate Bulletin of Information or from the Undergraduate Advisor.
Honors Program
The department offers an honors program for chemistry and biochemistry majors with an overall GPA of 3.5 or higher and who have been (or would like to be) active in research. The program requires the completion of a thesis and at least two semesters of undergraduate research during the junior or senior years.
Second Majors, Supplemental Majors and Minors
About 33% of chemistry and biochemistry students graduate with a second or supplementary major, and about 50% graduate with one or more minors. Students often find a parallel area that piques their interest, and a wide range of double majors, supplementary majors, concentrations, and minors are offered at the university.
