Richard Taylor Appointed Associate Dean in the College of Science

Professor Richard Taylor, from the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has accepted the position of Associate Dean for Research and Computing in the College of Science.

The appointment was announced by Dean of the College of Science, Greg Crawford who added, "Rich will bring great energy to our aspirations in growing the research enterprise in the College of Science and in developing interdisciplinary interactions across campus." Professor Taylor will direct the research and planning efforts for the College of Science and promote multidisciplinary research and collaboration across the University as well as external partners. "Research is perfect complement to our University’s service mission, and thus, I will do my best to promote translation aspects of our research," said Professor Taylor. The position also serves as the College's primary liaison to the Office of Research, oversees grants management, and directs the Science Computing Facility.
