FDA support is being sought by Lysomics LLC, a company founded by Norbert Wiech, for early clinical exploration of an approved drug to fight Niemann-Pick Type C (NPC) disease, based on the work of Notre Dame professors Olaf Wiest and Paul Helquist, and Frederick Maxfield at Cornell.
