Allen Oliver, director of the Molecular Structure Facility in the Department of Chemistry at Notre Dame, along with Jeanette Krause, director of the Crystallography Facility at the University of Cincinnati, has agreed to be the Program Co-Chair for the American Crystallographic Association Annual conference in 2013.
For crystallographers within the US, and for many abroad, this conference is one of the more important ones as it is a time to connect with colleagues, confer with vendors, and gain professional development. The scientific program is very well-regarded, with up to five parallel session running at any one time covering a wide range of crystallographic topics. The Association also promotes a strong student involvement with many students giving posters or oral presentations. The Program Chair is responsible for all aspects of the scientific program.
