Olaf Wiest has accepted the position of associate editor for the Beilstein Journal of Organic Chemistry, and open access journal that publishes research articles on all aspects of organic chemistry. It is unusual among open access journals in that it does not charge page fees because it is completely funded through a non-profit foundation, the Beilstein Institute.
The journal, which began publication in 2005, has 41 scientists from all around the world on its editorial board, including several Nobel Prize laureates.
