On May 6, 2006, the University of Notre Dame campus will host the 2nd Annual Midwest Protein Folding Conference. This year's conference follows last year's highly successful inaugural conference, also held at Notre Dame, which drew together 84 attendees from 11 Midwestern universities to discuss all aspects of protein structure, dynamics, effects of the cellular context, and protein-ligand interactions. The day-long conference features a number of short talks by graduate students and postdoctoral fellows, selected from submitted abstracts.
