The Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry at the University of Notre Dame is pleased to announce the appointment of Steven Corcelli to the faculty in 2005. Professor Corcelli, a theoretical chemist, is an expert in charge transfer reactions occurring in confined aqueous environments. Professor Corcelli received his B.S. in Chemistry from Brown University in 1997. His Ph.D work at Yale focused on rate constant calculations for rare event systems and vibrational pooling in surface-bound carbon monoxide. Following his Ph.D., he worked on spectral diffusion and vibrational echo correlation spectroscopy as a post-doctoral researcher with Jim Skinner at the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
