Marvin Miller receives $1.9M NIH Grant for TB Research

Marvin Miller's laboratory is fighting to erode the global TB epidemic by working to identify cost effective anti-TB agents, and was recently aided in this endeavor by receiving a $1.9 million grant by the NIH.

Scheidt Serves as NIH Committee Member

Robert Scheidt, the William K. Warren Foundation Chair in Science and professor of chemistry and biochemistry, has accepted an invitation to serve as a member of the Macromolecular Structure and Function A Study Section of the Department of Health and Human Services beginning July 1, 2010.

Ann Weber '82 awarded Scarborough Memorial Award

Ann Weber, who earned a degree in Chemistry from Notre Dame in 1982, has been awarded the Robert M. Scarborough Memorial Award for Excellence in Medicinal Chemistry from the American Chemical Society Division of Medicinal Chemistry.

Paul Helquist receives Notre Dame Faculty Award

Paul Helquist, Professor and Associate Chair of Chemistry and Biochemistry, was honored with the University of Notre Dame 2010 Faculty Award at the annual President's Dinner held May 18.
