Author: Alec Hipshear

Timothy Wencewicz, a former graduate student in Prof. Marvin Miller’s laboratory in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry, has been named as one of four recipients of the Eli J. and Helen Shaheen Graduate School Awards.

Named in honor of a Notre Dame alumnus and his wife, the award recognizes one outstanding doctoral degree recipient from each of the four Graduate School divisions: humanities, social sciences, science and engineering. Nominated by their departments, the Shaheen Award winners are chosen for superior performance during their graduate student tenure as exhibited by grades, research, publication records, fellowships and other awards, and teaching ability.

Tim is currently a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University in the laboratory of Prof. Chris Walsh. He will be recognized for the Shaheen Award at the Graduate School's commencement ceremony in May
