Pennmark Associates is a drug development consulting group. Prior to forming Pennmark, he was Chairman and CEO of Phoenix Data Systems (a clinical data services company which he sold to Bio- Imaging Technologies in March 2008. Bill entered the pharma industry working for SmithKline Beecham Pharmaceuticals in 1991 as vice president and head of the Cardiopulmonary Therapeutic Unit. He was named vice president and director of North America clinical research and development in 1995 and, in 1998, was appointed senior vice president and director of worldwide clinical development and medical affairs, responsible for global clinical drug development, statistics and data management. Bill serves on the Board of Directors of Viro Pharma, Inc as well as Notre Dame's Science Advisory Council.
